This is the reason..

Why I love Pitbulls
I have loved dogs eversince I seen my first rottweiler when I was four years old. I loved that dog to death, even though he was 5 times bigger then I was. He had the greatest personality, I never once heard him growl at me. Thats when I first started loving bully breeds. I seen my first pitbull on Animal Planet on one of the rescue shows. I have never seen a more abused breed in my life, these dogs have such devotion and love for their owner that they would risk their own life to please. I have always wanted to own a pitbull ever since I was 5 years old. I begged my mom but I ended up getting differnt breeds in the past. I have had labradors and lab mixes but never a pitbull. I have always looked at differn't breeds but nomatter what I do I cannot stop thinking about owning a pitbull. I'm not the person to get a pitty because I live in "da hood" and want to scare off people, no. Thats not it, not it at all. I love this breed and I could care less if people look at me differntly. I want one because it has the best personality and devotion, it also has the most beautiful face, I love both cropped and uncropped ears on a pitbull they all are gorgeous to me.

I have once saved a pitbull from the street. My mom and I were returning from the store and when the car lights flashed in the long grass, we seen this big head pop up. The first word out of my mouth was "aww a pitbull!!" The dog ran up to the car, he looked at me, he was so excited his tail was wagging 100 miles per hour lol. I told my mom he is a nice dog he won't hurt you. But my mom had other thoughts....see she is scared of pitbulls and almost everytime she see's one she gets very nervous. She told me "Ashley, don't talk to the dog! I don't want him to jump on my window" One of our neighbors ended up coming out of their house and seen the dog by our car, our neighbors boyfriend chased him off and helped us load the groceries in the house. That night I couldn't stop thinking about that pitbull, I thought what will happen if I don't go out there, if I don't the dog might be a stray forever. When it was light out at about 5am I went outside to see if the pitty was still there, first I went to go visit the stray cats my neighbor had in his backyard. While I was sitting there petting the cats I seen this huge lab mix he looked like he had rabies or something. I didn't freak out but I remembered what you should do if you see a stray dog...Keep still and DONOT make eye contact. When I didn't pay attention to the dog he went away (THANK GOD!) After my ordeal I went back home and seen the pitbull in my neighbors yard. I said "hey buddy boy come here" he trotted over, tail wagging he was a very happy pitbull. I kinda freaked out for some reason and jumped in the back of my dads truck. He jumped on the side and looked at me with those sweet eyes that any pitbull lover cannot resist. I put out my hand and said "are you a nice puppy?" and he licked my hand. I climbed down from the truck and he was jumping so excited that someone wanted to play with him. So I took the dog chain from the tree and put it around his neck so he wouldn't go anywhere. I went in the house and got him some food and water. He was pretty skinny. He ate and drank and after that I gave him a toy to play with. His owners must of taught him how to fetch because I'd throw the toy, he'd bring it back we were having a ball....until...my neighbor came out. He wouldn't stop barking at her, he was trying to protect me. I guess that food and water made him love me too much lol. For that I named him Rex "my little prince" I also didn't say his color, he was a brown/chocolate/red tri-color & white with uncropped ears. That same day I put a sign up that said "found pitbull. Very sweet warms up quickly" or something like that I don't remember this was a while back. But that morning my mom had to go to work and she wouldn't leave the house unless I took him away, she was that scared 0.o My mom then called animal care and control for them to go pick up my baby "Rex" When the guy came it was very clear that Rex didn't like him. He barked and growled at the guy to get him away, I was sitting right there with Rex and I think he was actually trying to protect me. My mom told me to get in the house. But before I did I told Rex I loved him, he was such a good dog, such a good protecter. That same day my mom got a call on the phone, We had found Rex's owner!!!! He had went to the shelter but I heard it was a great reunion with their family together again. My mom told me that Rex's owner couldn't thank me enough for taking care of him. Well I'm happy to help a pitbull when it comes to that breed I have a weak spot.
I will try to find a picture of him, I will definatly post it on here!
